Effie was always known for fun! She is probably involved in some caper with those who have gone before! Heaven will be more fun now! Condolences to all. She is at rest!

My sincere condolences on the loss of Effie ... growing up I used to sneak up behind our house on Blake Street and help her in the garden (was supposed to pull weeds, but would end up snacking on fresh peas and carrots....).. she always welcomed me with a "Hi Jenny!" and show me where to start helping out ... May you be comforted by the outpouring of love surrounding you.

Effie was like a second mother to me, I had a lot of good times around the kitchen table. Not so good of times when she met Sheryl and I at the door in the wee hours of the morning. She will be missed. Heavens choir has gained a beautiful woman!

Carman and I wish to offer our sincerest condolences to Earl and his family. We always enjoyed talking to Effie and watching her garden grow. We looked forward to the Haweater parade so that we could catch up with Earl and Effie, on their front lawn, as the parade went by.

I have so many good memories of growing up as a neighbour of the Freeman family. Effie and Earl were so good with us local kids. I didn’t see them much after they left Kagawong, so they’re frozen in my memory as fun parents with all their children still at home. I hope that Earl has a lifetime of happy memories to outweigh the sad ones.
