Timothy Shogga Obituary

In Loving Memory of
Timothy Moses Shogga
January 17, 1960 - March 21, 2024

Tim is a proud member of M'Chigeeng First Nation and is from the Shagi (heron) clan.
He began his spirit journey unexpectedly, surrounded by his family
at Manitoulin Health Centre.

Tim is survived by his loving partner, Yvette Debassige.
Proud father to Sheldon (Deanna), Koady (Mallory) and Sasha (Tyler). Cherished grandfather to Scarlett, London, Angelina, Dawson, Kendra, Koady Junior,
Mica and Sabastian & Wesley.
Survived by his father, Alvin (Ted) Corbiere
and predeceased by his mother,
Angeline Corbiere (nee Shogga).
He will be dearly missed by his siblings:  Alan (Tammy), Yvonne (William), Charlene (Joey), and Lisa. Loving Uncle to Bnehns, Dakota, Mnawaate, Mentaagzid, Nchiiwat, Niihge, Kyle, Bryton, Sammy, Carter, Monty and Sterling. He will be sadly missed by his Aunts, Uncles, Cousins and God-Children. He will be dearly remembered by his close, longtime friends Wilfred (Okie) Ense, Tommy Ense, Bernard (Chopper) Ense, Gary Ense and Randy Cada.

He started his carpentry career at the Espanola Mall which continued on Mnidoo Mnising at such places as the 3 Cows and a Cone, Providence Bay Pavilion and Michael's Bay. Tim will be remembered for his attention to detail and love for customizable cabinetry which gained recognition and was requested by many,
Island wide. His family will cherish their
individual wood crafted gifts.
Tim lived his life modestly and valued his Anishnabek teachings. He enjoyed early morning fishing, snaring, loom beading and cookouts.  He loved listening to rock & roll, especially the Beatles, Pink Floyd, and Supertramp Recently, he traveled, in his ‘bucket list' vehicle, an RV to Burl's Creek where he partied with Mick Jaggar
and the rest of the Rolling Stones.
Relatives and friends may offer condolences at Charlene's residence at 40 Oakhill Drive.
The Celebration of Tim's life will begin
on Monday March 25 at 9:00pm with the funeral on Wednesday March 27 at 10:00am
with cremation to follow.
