Donald John “DJ” Jacko
Passed away peacefully, with his loved ones by his side, at the Manitoulin Health Centre
on Monday, June 26, 2017.

Loving father of Cherie Osawamick, Crystal Osawamick, Michael Bondy (Rhonda), Miranda Jacko (Cameron),
Jake Wemigwans, Corey Jacko and Jayna Bondy.
Beloved Papa of Kyle Osawamick.
Survived by his siblings
Gary Manitowabi (Elizabeth predeceased), Marcel Jacko, Terrance Jacko (Judy), Mary Pheasant (Robert),
Roland Jacko, James Jacko and
Marilyn Jacko (John Cywink) all of Wikwemikong.
Cherished grandfather of 8 grandchildren Kyle, Vanessa, Rebecca, Big Cloud, Mikayla, Atlantis Rain, Heavenly Storm and Wynter Haze and 4 great grandchildren Taiessa, Ophelia, Harlon John and  Kewadin.
Will also be greatly missed by longtime friends Kenneth Toulouse and Joe Alex Shigwadja
Predeceased by his parents Alexander and Blanche Jacko, his brother Enoch and cherished friends Kenneth Shigwadja and Paul Williams.

DJ believed in hard work, as attested to by many former co-workers. He was a dedicated community member who contributed much fundraising efforts for Community Living and sports. He was generous with his outlook on life, helping many people in need in various ways. He believed in taking responsibilities and embodied the true traditional meaning of the Seven Grandfathers in a way that brought true healing/understanding to others. DJ loved shopping/planning the menu for the many family get-together’s at his sister and brother-in-law’s home, loved music and the music scene, CFL football, NHL hockey, visiting with others especially with his children and their families, DJ was also a logger, having learned the ways of the forest from his father, and his uncle Jake from the age of 6. DJ loved to joke, tease, laugh and read. Will also be missed by his faithful feline companions

Visitation from 1pm on Tuesday at 33 Hills Trail, Wikwemikong
Funeral Mass 1PM on Thursday June 29, 2017
at Holy Cross Mission, Wikwemikong
Feast at the arena.  Cremation to follow.
