Our sincere sympathy Sally and family in the passing of Steve. This version of the 23rd Psalm reminds me of Steve
The Lord is my Pilot, I shall not drift
He lighteth me across the dark waters
He steereth me into deep channels
He keepeth my log: He guideth me by the Star of Holiness for His Names' sake
Yea, Though I sail into thunders and tempest of life,
I shall dread no dangers, Thou art with me
Thou preparest a harbour before me in the homeland of eternity
Thou anointest the waves with oil
My ship rideth calmly
Surely sunlight and starlight shall favour me on the voyage I take
And I shall rest in the Port of the my God forever.
We will never forget the all the things you and Steve did for Freeman & Ret.
Know we have you in our thoughts and prayers.

Deepest condolences to Sally and family.
Stephen taught us all that law and justice was not
law and justice unless given with love, kindness,
fairness, and for the sole purpose of making lives
better not just punished. You were noticed.

In Sympathy: Stephen Boyd Marshall

Like many summer Manitoulin residents, I send condolences to Sally, Father George, members the Saint Bernard choir & congregation and Steve’s many friends. He was a very remarkable, talented and generous man and will be greatly missed but never forgotten.

Heaven has gained another member of its angelic choir and we share our memories of Steve’s musical talent at Sunday services, boat rides, BBQ jam sessions with George, bravery, and sparkling conversations with Sally at parties with friends & neighbours.

I have only the best memories of Stephen he helped me through some very difficult times with generosity and good humour. I still cite his brilliance regularly--"Life is random Peter and lightning strikes where you least expect it." Seeing Stephen and Sally together, laughing, is a memory I'll carry forever. Stephen Marshall left the world a better place than he found it.
