Our prayers and thoughts are with you Nelson and your family at this time. We always enjoyed speaking with Thelma at the Manor when we seen her during the day. She will be missed by not only her family but by all the people in the community who knew her and and shared many memories with both Thelma and yourself.

On behalf of the Wallace Family from Millbank my sympathy. I myself did not go to the school in Millbank as when we moved there I started to High School. I let Keith, Diane and Cheryl know and you may remember them. I'm told your Mom was a Coghlin and I have lived near Atwood and now Listowel and that is a well known name. Again our sympathy to you and Edwin and to your Dad.

Dear Ward Family
I recall this family very well as I grew up in Millbank and Mr. Ward was my teacher for 4 years at SS No 3 in Millbank. I knew Thelma too as a very kind and quiet lady. Patricia and Edwin are too remembered and often wonder where my former Millbank friends are. My condolences to the family. I have been a Stratford resident for almost 55 years and used to ask Nelson's sister, Mrs. Byrick, about him and Thelma. An amazing longevity and the noting she was married to Nelson for 74 years, that too is an amazing record these days. By the way Mr. Ward, my math is still great thanks to your teaching. The other subjects are also up to par. I really appreciated my teacher who had a supporting wife, Thelma. Blessings to All, Betty (Bast) Steckly

To the Ward Family.
When I was a young boy I would bike from Newry to Atwood to purchase a comic book at Thelma's father's Drug Store. I remember a very nice man, always allowing me time to pick the comic book that I decided was best for me.
Our neighbours in Newry were Everett and Mary Ward - parents of Nelson,Viola, Jane and Florence. I remember the good times I had feeding mink, working with the bees and honey, making violins etc. No better environment for a young boy, and i still recall it all, often.
In one of our family albums I have photos of a very young Pat playing with my sister Sylvia - also a school photo with Florence in it.
The Ward family has given me many fond memories in the past and I wish them the best for the future.
You have our Sympathy,
Greg and Elizabeth Smith.

I want to express our good wishes to Nelson, Pat & Edwin & families in the loss of Thelma - a wonderful neighbour on the North Channel for over forty years for us and for Bob's godmother Ursula Roszel before that. She was kind spritely and very courageous. She lived a full life and there will be thousands of memories I'm sure. All the best Bob & Carol
