Not unlike others who find themselves losing someone, that while you did not see them everyday, they for the most part, were always on your mind. We to feel that loss as well. Knowing that special person always brought good feelings and thoughts to think of when you needed to be lifted up in your spirits and to whom you always knew you could turn to for any reason. Harold was one such person and will continue to be so. We as well are at a loss for words that comfort and turn aside the grief we share with Harold's family. Please know Heaven has just been made a better place .

From Manitoulin Health Centre:
Harold Morphet – the name immediately conjures up a smile, a belly-laugh, a fast joke, a twinkle in the eye, and also a sense of dedication and personal perseverance that was an inspiration to everyone he knew.
Harold passed away yesterday. He will certainly be missed!

Harold worked for many years in plant maintenance and dietary, and had to retire prematurely as a result of the impacts from serious health issues.
In spite of these impediments, he never lost his sense of humour, or his sense of inner balance.

I didn’t have the pleasure of working with Harold, but I got to know him through some golf games we shared together.
Now, I’m not the world’s greatest golfer to begin with, but trying to play whilst Harold is teasing and rattling off jokes faster than an AK47, was an impossibility – and a treat!

In memory of Harold, the MHC banners will fly at half-mast. Our sincerest condolences to his family and closest friends.
In closing, and in his honour, may I say that I recall some of his comments to me during golf had to do with how I held my putter, and perhaps something about lost balls…
Rest well, Harold.

Respectfully,
Derek Graham,
President and CEO
MHC
