Just before a beautiful sunset on October 18, 2021 we are saddened to announce our Mother's final journey home - Theresa Francis (nee Fox).
Theresa left us peacefully at her own home. We ask you to keep her in your prayers and thoughts as we celebrate her life.

(Mary) Theresa was born in Wabozoominissing (Rabbit Island)
to Theresa Mary (Animikwaan) Fox and Moses D. Fox (baa) on January 15, 1942.
Loving sister to William Roy, Augustine Roy, Morris Fox, Laura Fox, Dominic Roy, Christine Roy, Marguerite Syrette, Eugene Fox, Donald Fox, Alex Fox, James Fox (Kay) all predeceased and survived by Joe Fox (Rita), David Fox and Verna Polson.
She spent her entire life in the heart of Wiikwemkoong with her partner Martin Francis (baa).
She was a loving mother to Lucy Francis (baa), Clara Francis (baa), Bernadine Francis, Mark Francis (Roselynda), Verna Francis, Alan Francis and Angela Dokum (Duane).

Theresa loved her family with all her heart. She cherished all her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends. She was a special godmother to Crystal Fox,
Albert Cooper, and Rose Pangowish. She will be missed by friends Mary & Florence and her fur baby Rocky.
Theresa had a wonderful sense of humor and a unique kindness for all. She loved to spend time at the Amikook Centre where she quilted and attended workshops. She would love to play bingo, go to the casino and travel. She always was fond of visiting her family and friends. She was active with the Anishinaabemowin dictionary project with the WHO. It was through her love of storytelling and conversing that we will miss the most. Her love for life cannot be put into words.

on Wednesday, October 20, 2021 from 4:30 pm

on Friday, October 22, 2021 at 11:00 am
