Sandra Ruth McMurray (nee Sanderson)
August 7th, 1945 - December 29th, 2025

Born and raised in Brampton and moved to Manitoulin over 60 years ago.
 Died peacefully at Manitoulin Health Centre in Little Current at the age of 80.

Predeceased by parents Lloyd and Grace Sanderson. 
Beloved wife of Beverly "Bev" McMurray (predeceased).
Proud mother of Kevin (predeceased).
Special grandmother to Brian (Carissa) and Amanda.
Loving great grandmother of Maxwell, Audrey and Gracelynn.

Dear sister of Janie (John predeceased), Bill, Bob (Caroline) (both predeceased), Donnie (Marilyn), Bryan (Carole), Glenda (Lenard predeceased), Jim (predeceased) (Pat), John (Gloria), Rosalie (Rick), Les (Laurie predeceased) and Howard.

Dear daughter-in-law of William “Bill” and Katie (nee Blue) McMurray (both predeceased).
Sister-in-law of Doug (Lestie predeceased), Shirley (Lyle) Pyette, John “Art” (predeceased) (Marg), Eileen (Alvin predeceased) Pearson and Donald (predeceased) (Joan).

Loved by many nieces, nephews and friends.

She retired from Bayshore working as a PSW after many years.

Sandra could be rather “spicy” at times but once you got to know her she was generous and caring in her own way.

She loved hockey, curling and baseball and enjoyed spending time with the grandkids and great grandkids. She also has a passion for Bingo and going to the casino. Her hobbies included knitting, sewing, crocheting and crafting in general.

During her earlier years she was an avid volunteer with the Canadian Cancer Society and even started a soft ball league in Tehkummah for all the kids to come out and play.
