Peacefully passed away at
Health Sciences North at the age of 73.
Daughter of Agnes-baa Roy/Atchitwens
and Gabriel-baa Simon/ Mishibinjima
Predeceased by husband Louis "Joe" Lavallee .
Survived by her children Tim Simon, Rodney Lavallee,
Roger Lavallee, Lissa Wassegijig (Calvin)
and daughter Samantha-baa Lavallee.
God-mother of; Conway Wemigwans, Valerie Lavallee,
Joshua Lavallee, Bradley Migwans, Raymond-baa Roy.
Grandmother of Ace-baa, Darren Lavallee, Andrew Lavallee, Dustin Lavallee, Joshua Lavallee, Sebastian Trudeau,
Benjamin Mishibinijima and Clayton Mishibinijima.
Nana of her precious Laney Lavallee, and Scarlett Osawamick.
Sister of Phillip-baa Roy, Eugene-baa,Godfrey Shawanda , Francis-baa, (Laurie), Howard Simon,
Mary Simon, Diane Holm (Robert),
Malcolm Simon, Terry Bennett, Valerie Lavallee (David-baa).
Sister in-law of, Sylvester-baa Osawabine,
Vincent-baa Lavallee, Thaddeus-baa (Bonnie-baa) Lavallee,
Thomas Wemigwans (Elizabeth),
Veronica-baa Wemigwans (Wendy-baa), Rose Bupere,
Wilfred (Evelyn) Wemigwans , Henry (Corrine) Wemigwans.
She will be sadly be missed and lovingly remembered by her aunt, nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins and friends.
Phyllis was born and lived in South Bay her whole life. She was proud of her native language and spoke it fluently. She was also a survivor of breast cancer. Phyllis retired from the Wikwemikong Nursing Home where
she was a dedicated PSW for many years.
During her retirement she enjoyed doing word searches,
going to community events and most of all she cared
and valued her family's health and well-being.
