Riel John-Curtis Pangowish
June 30, 1988 - June 14, 2026

In loving memory of Riel Pangowish, who suddenly passed away on 
Sunday, June 14th, 2026 at the young age of 37. 

He will be greatly missed and mourned by his children that he loved and cherished, 
Scarlet, Evryn, Sienna and Quinn. 

Riel will be missed and forever cherished by his mother, Marian Pangowish. 
He will be missed by his brother 
Joseph Christopher. 
Riel is predeceased sister Ann Margaret.
 Cherished brother in-law to Fred Peltier.
Special friend to Savannah Cooper Assiniwe.

He will be sadly missed by his nieces and nephews, 
Shaylene, Alex, Karsen, Cadence and Carter. 

Beloved great uncle to, 
Roman, Vernon and Cohen. 

Riel always had a smile and he loved helping people. He was a self taught artist. 
One of his favorite activities was spending time with his children and family. 
He worked for a few years at the Wikwemikong Health Centre as a maintenance worker and he also did janitorial work. 

Riel will be missed but never forgotten by those who loved him the most. 
Till we meet again Riel, Baamaapii. 

A visitation will take place at Buzwah Church on 
Monday, June 22, 2026 at 11:00 am
A funeral service will be held at Holy Cross Mission on  Tuesday, June 23, at 11:00 am. 

Cremation to follow.
