Doreen Anwhatin, a resident of M'Chigeeng, passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by her family and friends on Tuesday, March 12, 2024 at the age of 71 years.
She was born in Mindemoya the daughter of the late Solomon and Agnes Armstrong (both predeceased).
Loving wife of 65 years of Charlie Anwhatin Sr.
Beloved mother of Jennifer (Jr.) of Sudbury,
Debbie (Randy predeceased) of M'Chigeeng,
Charles (predeceased),
Dennis (predeceased),
Karen (Chris) of Sudbury,
Alex (April) of M'Chigeeng,
Charlene (predeceased)
and Nancy (Patrick) of Little Current.
Doreen was proud to have 15 grandchildren and was known as Old Mama to all 9 of her great grandchildren.
Sister of Richard (Debbie) of M'Chigeeng,
Isaac of Newberry, Michigan,
Sara (Jimmy predeceased) of M'Chigeeng,
Kenneth (predeceased), Judy (predeceased),
Dianne (predeceased) and Georgina (predeceased).
Survived by many nieces and nephews.
She will be missed by her special friends Alma Jean, Jeanette, Annie and Penny.
Doreen was a loving, caring person who always helped out anyone who needed help. She loved going on car rides, especially when yard sales were involved. Most of all she enjoyed every visit from all of her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, one's she fostered and anyone who stopped by.
