Louis is predeceased by his parents
Marina Baa Pitawanakwat (nee Manitowabi)
and Raymond Baa Pitawanakwat.

Beloved brother to Freddie Baa, Muriel, Lorraine (Adam), Debbie (Mark Baa) Darlene and Dolores (Roger).

Predeceased by his daughter Heather Baa and survived by children Melanie, Ashley, Skylar
and many grandchildren. 

Louis will be sadly missed by many nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and extended family members.

Chi-Miigwech to Sagamok Elders Eagle Lodge staff for their loving care and friendship to Louis Baa. To the Espanola Hospital, Sudbury's Health Sciences North Hospital staff and the Administrative staff of Wiikwemkoong Unceded Territory.

Louis loved being around family, though personal challenges sometimes kept him away for long periods of time.
He loved playing Cribbage and has been crowned a champ by many friends as he was hard to beat. Also, fishing was one of his past times when he got opportunity to go. Louis loved attending ceremonies, and pow wows. When ceremonies were called, Louis was often asked to be a firekeeper. He had a bag with all that he needed from start to finish. Louis was a very hard worker, and the heat never slowed him down. He always encouraged his children, nephews and nieces to journey well. 
He loved Rock and Roll music and was a very avid collector of 8 tracks and record players. He enjoyed working outside and was not afraid of getting his hands dirty if it meant making his property or any of his sibling’s properties look beautiful. He was also known as the man in black. Preferring to wear his bandana, black hat and cowboy boots anywhere he could. Louis will be missed by all who knew him.
