In Loving Memory of
Lorraine Noreen Pangowish
July 16, 1960 - November 8, 2022

Lorraine will be fondly be remembered by her only daughter Tina Pangowish, especially her special step grandson 
Evin Bertrand whom she was caring for her at the time 
of her passing into the spirit world. 
The cherished memories of Grandmother Nookomis will 
never be forgotten by her grandchildren Devante, Dante,
 Donnette and Donatelly.

Lorraine was the beloved daughter of John and Bernadette (nee Eshkawkogan) Pangowish (both predeceased).  She was also the loving sister to Stanley Pangowish (Joanne) (both predeceased), Henry Pangowish (predeceased), Marina Recollet (Daniel) (both predeceased), Lima Jacko (Frank – predeceased), Jeanne Mishibinijima (Walter), Annie Pangowish (predeceased) and Clarence Pangowish (Marilyn), Julie Pangowish (Ernie also recently deceased).

Lorraine was a jewel and continuously sparkled through her never ending sweet smile.  She will be lovingly remembered for her outgoing personality and the good hearted person 
that she was amongst her family and friends.  She will most certainly be remembered at heart for the love that she had shown not only for her own grandchildren but all children that came onto her life path.

Nookomis Lorraine ba did an amazing job taking care of her step grandson Evin who is mildly autistic.

Lorraine was also gifted with her creativity in arts and crafts.  She travelled to many places to display and market her creative work.  She looked forward to her annual harvest of sweetgrass wiingushk and birchbark wiigwaas to support her passion for the arts.   She also loved her outings to the Bingo and the Casino.

Lorraine’s celebration of life/wake service will take place at the Saint Ignatius Church in Buzwah, Wikwemikong along with her late brother-in-law Ernest “Ernie” Beaven who also recently passed into the spirit world. 

Visitation will begin on 
Saturday, November 12, 2022 at 1:00 pm and 
continues Sunday, November 13, 2022

 Funeral service will be on 
Monday, November 14, 2022
 at 10:00 a.m.  

Lorraine’s interment will be at the Wikwemikong Cemetery.   
A Community Feast will follow.
