Linda Joan "Judy" Armstrong (Cooper) 
Sunrise June 5, 1948 - Sunset November 13, 2022


Judy Armstrong, a resident of M'Chigeeng First Nation, began her spiritual journey peacefully on Sunday afternoon at the Mindemoya Hospital on November 13, 2022, at the age of 74 years.  
Daughter of the late Solomon and Agnes Armstrong. Beloved friend of the late Lloyd Cooper. 
Loving mother of Justin (Brenda) and Ruby (Roderick). Grandmother to Dustin (Ginny), Justis, Ashley, Luke, 
Jocelyn and Jolene (Tisean). Great Grandmother to Jayanna, Joziah, Tisean Jr., Jaiquan and Julius. 
Loving and loved sister of Georgina (predeceased), Dianne (predeceased), Issac (Barbara) (Karen predeceased), Doreen (Charlie), Kenneth (predeceased), Richard (Deborah), George, 
Sara (James), Bruce and special sister-in-law to Nancy. Treasured auntie to many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. Judy was godmother to Caroline Debassige, John Dokum, 
Emery Corbiere (predeceased), Anthony Cooper (predeceased) and Maureen Fox. 
Will be sadly missed by many relatives and friends.   

Judy loved speaking the Anishinabemowin language daily, in her early years was a language mentor at M'Chigeeng Binoojiinh Gamgoonhs and later with the KTEI-MMAK students. She took pride in volunteering her time at numerous community events, and she was honoured with various community awards for her effortless dedication and generous contributions. She enjoyed smoking fish, cooking fish soup, pickling and canning fresh vegetables from the garden. She took joy in attending pow-wows, prize bingos, attending arenas to watch hockey games, travelling and visiting with her loved ones. A cherished member of the Immaculate Conception Church on Sundays and the She'ndwin Teg Bingo Hall on the weekdays. She will be remembered for her smirking sense of humour, generous kisses, unconditional love and sharing many memories of the good ole days.


Family and friends will gather at M'Chigeeng Community Complex on Thursday, November 17, 2022, at 11 AM. Mass will be at 7 PM each night.
 Funeral mass to celebrate Judy's life will be at Immaculate Conception Church 
on Saturday, November 19, 2022, at 11 AM.
Feast to follow at M'Chigeeng Community Complex.
