In Loving Memory of
Leonard Ivan Paibomsai Walker
Chi-Naadmaage-Nini
January 26, 1941 - January 16, 2024
Passed away suddenly at his residence in Birch Island
Predeceased by his wife Celina,
his grandmother Mary Jane and mother Theresa
and special aunt Margaret,
brother Frank and sister Elizabeth.
He will be sadly missed by
Jeff (Lise), Francis, Ruth (Richard), Kyle (Giselle)
and Dolores.
Leonard was Papa to
Dakota, Meranda, Brett, Justice, Madeline, Julianne, Jaden, Madalyn, Jordon, Victoria, Jake, Logan, Hope, Alexandra
and 7 great-grandchildren.
He is fondly remembered by many close cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
Leonard's favorite past-times included fishing, hunting, gardening, bingo and slots. He spent many years working on various highways operating heavy machinery. He was an active member of the St. Gabriel Lalemant parish council for many years. Leonard was one of the local taxi drivers for Birch Island and provided local lawn maintenance. He was friendly and always willing to lend a hand when needed. Leonard was a loyal fan of the Toronto Maple Leafs. He cared for all God's creatures and enjoyed having dogs and spent his later days watching and feeding the birds, squirrels
and chipmunks.
We are extremely grateful to all the staff at Mnamodzawin Health Services, especially Veronica. With their support, Leonard was able to remain at home where he was happiest.
