It is with deep sadness that we acknowledge the death of Kenneth George Dobbs, October 18, 1945 - August 6, 2021.  Despite his unexpected passing, we are comforted in knowing that his peaceful transition from this earthly life mirrors his kind and tranquil nature.

Ken, who often went by George, is survived by his loving sisters: Dianna (Aubrey) Watson of Thunder Bay, Ontario, Nancy Judith Dobbs of Plattsburgh, NY, and Deborah (Roswell) Trickey of North Bangor, NY; his nephews Dale Watson and Daniel Montgomery; his nieces Cathy Watson, Jenny Montgomery, Amanda Latrielle, Susan Taskin, Heather Wells, and Lori Rivers; and several grand nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his father, George Henry, and his mother, Janet MacDougall.

Ken grew up in Dunchurch, Ontario and lived much of his teenage years and adult life in Newmarket, Ontario, where he worked as a hospital porter and pursued his passions as a pilot, sailor, and musician.  In the past 30 years, he has enjoyed dual careers in the Little Current area as the manager of a water treatment plant and the manager of the Manitoulin East Airport, positions which allowed him to apply his many and various skills while enjoying his interests simultaneously.

His co-workers fondly remember him as a responsible and reliable manager who led with both patience and resourcefulness, while his friends, sisters, nieces and nephews often marveled at his many talents and endeavors, especially as an artist, guitar player, and traveler.  Ken was a true adventurer whose appreciation for the natural world was unmatched and who would easily bask in every opportunity to fly a plane or sail his Sunfish.  Conversations with Ken easily and quickly revealed his authenticity.  He was someone who lived by faith and led by example.  All who had the honor of knowing Kenneth George Dobbs are better humans because of his presence here, and we are eternally grateful.
