Jonathon "Benji" Joshua Jacko

Jonathon “Benji” Joshua Jacko
May 25, 1985 - January 16, 2025

who passed away peacefully at Manitoulin Health Centre surrounded by family at the age of 39.

He was a loving and proud father of
Jayden Manitowabi.

Dear son of
Lorna Jean Flamand and Arthur Jacko (predeceased).

Jonathon was the cherished brother of
Lance “Jack,” Wanda, Natalie, Richard (Mary Jo),
Linda, Kenneth, Mary Lou, Wayne (predeceased),
Darlene, Arthur Jr., Steven, Jeanette,
Jacinta, Marian, Noella and Diane.

He will be deeply missed by his special niece Alyssa (Jarrett)
and his cousin Miranda whom he considered a sister. 

Jonathon successfully graduated from the carpentry program at Canadore College, followed by a
solar panel installation course.

As an enthusiastic outdoorsman, his interests included outdoor cooking, driving his quad, fishing, picking sweet grass and always showing his support to other families by offering to be a fire keeper. His diverse skill set included tree planting, firefighting, and carpentry. He took immense joy in supporting those around him, consistently seeking opportunities to lend a helping hand.

He will be profoundly missed by his vast array of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Family and friends will gather
at St. Ignatius Church, Buzwah
Visitation
will begin on Friday, January 17, 2025, at 1 p.m. 
Funeral Service
will be at St. Ignatius Church, Buzwah
on Sunday, January 19, 2025, at 1 p.m.
with Father Paul officiating.
Interment in the Wikwemikong Upper Cemetery, followed by a feast.
