Jennifer passed away peacefully at Health Sciences North, Sudbury on Monday, June 15, 2026 at the age of 50.

She was born in Hayward, Wisconsin, USA on August 2, 1975. She attended schools in Chicago and finished at LCO Ojibwe School and College. She was always proud of her work at the Democratic National Convention in Chicago. She always loved her artistic side with her drawings, paintings, beadwork and so much more.

Survived by her father Dennis W. Debassige,

her mother Sandra Streubel-Rivera,

her brother Dennis W. (Joanna) Debassige

and her daughter Destiny Debassige.

She will be missed by many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Predeceased by her brother Steven Streubel

and her long time partner Jeff Anwhatin.

Family and friends will gather
at Saswaahns Spiritual Centre, M'Chigeeng

Visitation
on Friday, June 19, 2026 from 3pm.

Funeral Service
from there on Monday, June 22, 2026 at 11am.

Burial to follow in the M'Chigeeng First Nation Cemetery.
Feast to follow back at Saswaahns.

Jen will be missed by so many family, friends and loved ones.
