With love and gratitude for the remarkable life he shared with us, we announce that our beloved Jarvis Julian David Lebrun of M'Chigeeng First Nation began his spirit journey on Monday, June 15, 2026, at 17 years young. Jarvis passed surrounded by the love of his family and friends at Health Sciences North in Sudbury.
In his 17 years, Jarvis lived fully, embracing life with love, laughter, friendship, adventure and countless
unforgettable experiences.
Jarvis had a strong interest in trucks and a deep love for the outdoors, especially fishing, hunting, sledding, golfing and quadding. Always busy and on the go, he enjoyed every opportunity to travel, whether down bush roads, discovering new lakes to fish or visiting up north. He especially loved traveling to tropical destinations with his mother and sister and cheering on the Montreal Canadiens with his father.
Guided by humour and a natural gift for connecting with others, Jarvis made friends easily and formed lasting connections wherever he lived or visited. He brought laughter and friendship wherever he went. His entrepreneurial spirit inspired many dreams and plans for his future. Above all, Jarvis deeply loved his parents and sister and was incredibly proud to be
a new uncle to Kian.
Jarvis will be lovingly remembered by his mother Leslie Scott (Justin), and his father Leonard Lebrun (Arlene).
His sister Sasha Hare (Ethan) and his cherished nephew Kian.
His uncles Julian (Cher) Migwans and Gabriel "Dewayne" (Migwans) Trudeau.
His special friend Brii and his godparents Todd and Nicole Fox.
Jarvis was the cherished grandson of Jeanette and David Scott, the late Anita Lebrun-May and the late Theodore Lebrun and step-grandson of the late Roy May.
He will also be lovingly remembered by his many aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family members, friends, classmates and all those
whose lives he touched.
The family extends heartfelt thanks to the compassionate staff at Health Sciences North for the care and kindness shown to Jarvis, his family and his friends during his stay.
Family and friends are welcome to help guide Jarvis home to the community on Saturday, June 20, 2026 at 4:30pm. Those wishing to participate are asked to gather along Highway 540 at the entrance to M'Chigeeng First Nation, where Jarvis will be
sung into the community.
Visitation will follow at the M'Chigeeng Community Complex.
The immediate family will greet Jarvis first at 4:30pm, followed by other family and friends at 6:30pm
Traditional ceremonies will be held for Jarvis, and the funeral will take place on Monday, June 22, 2026, at 3pm at the M'Chigeeng Community Complex, followed by burial at the M'Chigeeng Whispering Pines Cemetery followed by a feast at the Complex.
Jarvis lived fully, loved deeply and created memories that will remain with us always.
He will be forever loved, remembered and carried in the hearts of everyone whose life he touched.
May his travels continue in spirit.
