Edith “Glenda” Hodder (nee Wilkin)

It is with heavy hearts that the family of Edith “Glenda” Hodder announce her passing on Saturday, January 10, 2026.
Glenda was born in Howland Township on Thursday, September 12, 1940 to the late William and Ruby Wilkin.
She was the youngest of the Wilkin siblings,
Lois and Bert the other two.
She was the loving wife of John Hodder for 61 years.
She was the wonderful mother of Kimberly Cooper (Joe), Lisa Wahamaa (Dave) and Jim Hodder (April).
She was grandmother to Scott, Katie, Jackie, Kayla, Andrew, Lora, Jayden and Morgan.
She was great grandmother to Jackson, Harper, Sydney, Olivia, Ella, Thea, Leo, Henley, Ruby and Rory.
Glenda loved playing cards and travelling. In her younger years she spent many weekends at curling bonspiels and playdowns. She loved spending time at camp playing cards and scrabble.
One of her favourite activities was decorating for seasonal celebrations and moving furniture. She also loved spending time with her friends
at Red Hats.
She was always there to spend time with her grandkids, and loved to see them everyday. After the grandkids grew up, she loved going to the pool in Espanola for aquasize, and playing cards with her friends.
Family and friends will gather
at the Little Current United Church
on Friday, January 16, 2026
Visitation at 11:00am
with the funeral to follow at 1:00pm.
In lieu of flowers donations in Glenda’s memory may be made to the Manitoulin Centennial Manor or the Manitoulin Health Centre and would be appreciated.
