Dear loving brother of Tyson, Vern (Hilary)
and Julia (Dylan) all of Wikwemikong
and Dorian and Amanda (Jeff) both of Sudbury.
Predeceased by his sister Jessica ba,
niece Jayda Snow ba and Gavin ba.
Godson of Monica Pheasant and Kevin Spanish ba.
Special nephew and family friend of Audrey,
Joe and Johnny.
He will be missed by many aunts,
uncles, cousins and friends.
Garnet loved all of his family especially his nieces and nephews. He was proud to be an uncle. He was a very quiet and gentle spirit.
He struggled with his disability but in spite of it all, he did his best for the people he loved.
His childhood friend Mike Desmoulin recalls all the bush walks they used to do, sliding, fishing and picking sweetgrass and morels. He loved doing outdoor yard work and shoveling snow. He said Garnet ba was always calm, cool and collected.
He enjoyed going out visiting and popping in on friends like the old ways, not through cell phones.
Maybe Garnet ba's leaving us a message that we should do more visiting like that with one another.
