Elsie passed away peacefully at home in Espanola on Tuesday, February 11, 2025 at the age of 62.

Daughter of the late Jake Xavier Corbiere (ba)
and Annie Cecile Corbiere (ba) (nee Beboning).

Elsie was the cherished sister of
Jean Debassige (Justin ba), Chris Corbiere, John Corbiere, Chester Corbiere (ba) and Lawrence Corbiere.

Beloved wife of John Joseph Cooper.

She was the loving mother of Alister, Junior, Skylar, Jordon, Lucas, Aaron and Miranda
and darling stepmom of Ruby, Darrell, Jason, Michell
and Matthew.

Together with John they shared 20 grandchildren
and 3 great grandchildren.

Elsie had many uncles, aunts and friends.

She was a foster mother to many children over the years and a care giver to her brothers.
Elsie enjoyed gospel music, traveling, being with her grandchildren, extended family and many friends. She had a contagious laugh that will be missed by all including her four-legged friends Journey, Rocko and Chance (ba). Elsie was a devoted woman of prayer dedicated to her church, Abundant Life Healing.

on Thursday, February 13, 2025 from 1:00pm.
Second Visitation
at St. Ignatius Church, Buzwah
on Friday, February 14, 2025 from 1:00pm.
Funeral Mass
at Holy Cross Mission Church, Wiikwemkoong
on Saturday, February 15, 2025 at 11:00am.
Burial
to follow in the Wikwemkongsing Cemetery, Kaboni.
