We mourn the loss of our beloved Elaine Cecile Lewis, our baby sister, who passed away suddenly on March 27, 2025 at the age of 62.

She was a dedicated and loving grandmother who touched the lives of many with her humility, love, compassion and sense of humor.

Elaine took pride in caring for her grandchildren and always made sure they celebrated their birthdays and holidays no matter what. She found joy cooking big meals, maintaining a well kept home, something like getting a Costco card and buying a big pack of coffee could make her so happy. She loved playing cards, collecting roosters, doing puzzles and she never missed an episode of her soap operas. 

Dear daughter of Eli and Cecile Lewis and Takwadjiwan both predeceased.

She is survived by her siblings Marilyn and Tony, both in Wiikwemokoong,
predeceased by siblings Lucy Trudeau, Lyda Mishibinijima, Bobby Lewis, Jerome Lewis, Ronnie Lewis.

She will be missed by special friend Billy Bondy,

her children, Danny baa, Mikey (Sarah) from Barrie,
Crystal and April both from Wiikwemikoong.

Her grandchildren Seira, Adam, Madison, Nevaeh, Brianna, Allysa, Shayla, Jaden, Jenessa, Johnny, Nathan, Shania, Alliyah, and Shawn baa.
And will be missed by many nieces, nephews and friends. 

Family and friends will gather
at St. Ignatius Church in Buzwah, Wiikwemkoong, Visitation
on Tuesday April 1st, 2025 after 11:00am
Funeral Mass
 on Thursday April 3rd, 2025 at 1:00pm
with cremation to follow.
