Cynthia "Cindy" McMaster Obituary

In Loving Memory of
Cynthia “Cindy” McMaster
July 17, 1961-October 9, 2021

Live, love, laugh
Live, love, laugh has become a family motto.
You’ve definitely lived - sharing 4 incredible children with us, foregoing many ups and downs while pursuing a life of change for yourself and your family...
Continuously demonstrating the power of forgiveness and understanding.  You’ve always loved...sometimes hard love is what makes us stronger, life choices are exactly that, choices.  What or how we handle those choices truly demonstrates the person that we truly are.  Your life choices have made you into a strong Anishinaabe Kwe, proud of our heritage, proud of your family, and accepting of those around you.  You see the value in everyone while sometimes struggling to value yourself.  Your talents are many- singing, dancing, drumming, praying, listening, understanding, being empathetic, drawing, and so many more... you have certainly left a mark on all of us... a place in our hearts where you will always be... supporting us, listening to us, and guiding us.  Your love has always been never ending, we see that when you look at John and your children
and grandchildren.  Your love for others is always demonstrated in your actions... encouraging others to be true to themselves.
Sometimes it’s been hard to laugh...
you continue to show us the power of laughter, that it’s really good medicine, that it’s ok to laugh at ourselves, that laughter is a form of healing for our souls...

that laughter ties us all together.
Gchi Miigwech for being with us, for living with us,
for loving with us, for laughing at us and more importantly laughing with us.
You will always be with us.  Just like we will always be with you... forever engraved in each others’ hearts...
we will be together again, playing cards, dancing, loving, and laughing.  We know that you will watch over us, keep us safe, and continue to cheer us all on.
Miigwech for being you, for showing us how to be resilient, how to be compassionate, and how to be strong, and how to enjoy life and make the most of it
no matter what is thrown at you. You’re loved more than you know.
Miigwech for choosing us as your family and friends;
 we will always share stories and do our best to move forward while living, loving and laughing, the same as you’ve done for us.
