Corey passed away at Sabes-Spanish River, Township, in Massey, Ontario on June 25, 2022.
Beloved father of Annika, Jenna and Benjamin.
Special friends, Kristen Wemigwans and Katelynn Abel.
Beloved son of Judy and Adolphus Wemigwans and Boniface Shigwadja.
Cherished sister, Melissa Joan Assinewai and brother, Nathan Ominika.
Grandson of the late, Josephine Assiniwe (predeceased), Bella & Paul Shigwadja (both predeceased).
Loving nephew of Donna, Sylvia, Clifford (Camilla), Carol (Ken), Donald (Connie), Richard (predeceased), Linda (Noel) Sharon (Wayne), Cindy (Jacob), Starlee, Christine (Ronas), Roseanne, Clara and Wayne Osawamick all of Wikwemikong.
Special Friends: Mitch Peltier, Jonathan Eshkawkogan,
Rossie Peltier, Edwin Toulouse, Naomi & Dalton Cooper, Marshall Odjig and Theresa Pelletier.
Corey had many loving friends.
Corey was a champ of all games he played, poker, cribbage, 10,000 dice game and the list goes on. Corey was an avid Toronto Maple Leafs Fan, Toronto Raptors and Toronto Blue Jays Fan. Corey loved spending time with his children, making funny faces etc….He worked at Naandwechige-Gamig Wikwemikong Health Centre. Corey was the life of the party or any events he attended, always joking around as the true jokee he was. Corey will not be forgotten for his sense of humour & his handsome smile.
