Cheryl Ann Louise Migwans
January 31, 1960 - January 12, 2025
Cheryl, 64, passed peacefully surrounded by family on Sunday, January 12, 2025, at the Wikwemikong Nursing Home.
She was born on Sunday, January 31, 1960, in Mindemoya, Ontario.
The daughter of Mary Delores Assance (nee Migwans) and Raymond Armstrong.
Cheryl is preceded in death by
her husband Thomas Glen Migwans (Grant),
mother Delores, stepfather Raymond
and her brothers Francis and Raymond.
Cheryl is survived by her beautiful daughters
Melannie, Celeste and Carrie (Jeffrey),
loving sisters Audrey and Jessica (Bernard),
grandchildren Linnea (Tim), Thomas (Shanelle), Joseph, Anna (Atticus), Jeffrey Jr, Destiny, Trevor Jr, Hoyt and Kaelen,
her nieces and nephews Ashley (Layton), Tiffany, Jeremy, Louisa, Tyler, Trinity, Crystal and Taylor-Jay
and great grandchildren Danika, Sandra, Kim Jr., Tiana, Noodin, Bellamy and Clayton
and friends Roger Corbiere and Jeffery Bebonang.
She will be reunited with her husband Grant. Cheryl wore many hats over the years, she was a supply teacher, the Manager of Teddy Bear Daycare in Haines Junction, Yukon, a model, a crafter (beadwork, sewing), a foster parent, she also assisted at the Ojibwe Cultural Foundation, a Community Helper for families in need during their time of loss. She was also very humble, creative, and a problem solver, she carried many teachings, as the Matriarch of our family all of which will be carried on by her children and grandchildren.
Cheryl will arrive at Saaswanhs in Lakeview
on Monday, January 13, 2025 at 6:00 pm.
Traditional Service
will be at Saaswaanhs
on Wednesday, January 15, 2025 at 11:00 am
feast to follow along with cremation.
