Bordie passed away peacefully at home on Friday, May 12, 2023 with his family by his side at the age of 93.

Predeceased by his beloved wife Echo Noble (nee Felix).

Victor (Cynda) Noble, Melanie (Bill) Chatwell
and Natalie Payette.

Cherished forever by his grandchildren
Todd Noble, Dee Noble (predeceased), John Graham, Ashley Noble, Wade Noble, Logan Noble,
Courtney Lockyer, Summer Seguin, Cassidy Payette,
Patrick Payette and Jenna Payette.
Will be missed by many loving great grandchildren.

Predeceased by his siblings Dorothy (Dave) Strain,
Bernice (Harvey) Douglas, Lloyd (Ruby) Noble
and Harold (Rene) Noble.

Will be missed by many nieces, nephews and friends.

Borden was born in Gordon Township at the family farm in 1929 where his family farmed and had a butcher business. Borden was twenty three when he went into business selling chainsaws and appliances out of a small shed. This eventually turned into selling furniture out of the house until he was able to build Borden Noble Ltd., which became the biggest furniture store on Manitoulin Island at that time. In 1950 he married Echo, who worked by his side both in the office at the furniture store and raising their four children. After many very successful decades in the furniture business with Echo by his side, Borden then opened a car lot with mechanics bays and eventually a full body shop. After 42 years in business, Borden finally retired at the age of 65, but we all know he didn't really retire, as there was always a deal to be made if he could make a dollar.
