Boniface “buzboni” began his journey on Saturday, August 10, 2024.

Loving father to Kimel (Brandy), Amber, Cheyenne, Terese, Tazanna, predeceased by Sequoia and Hailey.

Beloved son of Teresa Shawanda and Derrick Pitawanakwat (predeceased).

Cherished grandfather to Kadan, Miinigan, Riverleigh Roy, Rivaris Harvey and Kobe

Greatly missed by siblings Gail, Abigail and Wendell (predeceased).

Special cousin to Marilyn, Elaine, Donna, Tanya and Josephine.

Godfather to Rosemarie and Amelia.

Predeceased grandparents Josephine and John Roy-Atchitawens.

Boniface will be missed by nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Boniface resided in Toronto for many years before returning home to Wiikwemkoong. He worked in construction, restoration, masonry and roofing. He had the gift of laughter and humor as he was always joking around with his friends he was a natural comedian. He was a passionate, kind and caring man. He would humbly put his own needs aside to help another in need and always found a positive in a negative situation.
His favorite pass times where gardening, preserving his harvest, fishing, picking sweetgrass, making beaded earrings and homemade bread. His passion was making TikTok videos, dancing and entertaining, this was his way of expressing himself to others and especially comforting himself. He loved his children beyond measure. One of favorite sayings was “I will not be beat”
