Bessie passed away peacefully at the Manitoulin Lodge on Sunday, September 3, 2023 at the age of 87.
Predeceased by her parents Robert and Myrtle Douglas (nee Bailey).
Beloved wife of the late Kenneth Honess.
Loving mother of Vickie (Terry) Orford, Lyle (Shelley) Honess, Ruthanne (Murray) Orford, Sharon and Sandra (Brian) Smith.
Cherished grandmother of Shauna (Rob), Terri-Lynn (Daryl), Travis (Daylin), Melissa (Jason), Kevin (Jacqueline), Michael (Brittany), Kaitlyn (Shane), Jeffrey and Emily.
Proud great grandmother of Brady, Wyatt, Rory, Malia, Mason, Kowan, Greyson, Rylan, Lily, Ella, Dawson, Adam, Jase, Knox and Hadley.
Predeceased by her siblings Doreen Harcourt, Bob Douglas, Evelyn Morrison, Ruth Moran and baby Doris.
Will be fondly remembered by many nieces, nephews and friends.
Bessie was a hard worker. She worked alongside her husband Ken for many years on the farm. She came from a very musical family and loved music. Above all she was very family oriented and cherished every moment she could be with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Family truly was the center of her life.
Family and friends will gather for a graveside service
at Burpee-Mills Cemetery
on Thursday, September 7, 2023 at 11:00am.
with Pastor Joel Lock officiating.
