In Loving Memory
Angela Anne Moggy
June 6, 1974 – February 25, 2026
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved sister, who passed away peacefully, surrounded by family, on Wednesday, February 25, 2026, at the Manitoulin Health Centre in Mindemoya.
Born on June 6, 1974, Angela grew up on the family farm in Manitowaning and later made Mindemoya her home.
Angie is reunited in peace with her parents, Dallas and Noella Moggy;
her grandparents, James and Georgina Fox and Ralph and Audrey Moggy;
and her beloved uncles, Larry Moggy (Sue), Francis Fox (Nancy), and Curtis Hopkins (Rhonda).
She will be forever missed by her brother Derrick (Saeideh)
and her sister Amanda.
Angie was a proud aunt to her nephew Ryan and her niece Brittany (Toby),
and a devoted great-aunt to Colt and Camryn.
She also leaves behind many aunts, uncles, cousins, and a wide circle of dear friends, including her special friends Julie McDermid, Kathy Jewell and Victoria Bonilla.
Angie worked in administrative support roles with both Wiikwemkoong and M’Chigeeng First Nation, where she was valued for her reliability, kindness and commitment to helping others. However, Angie’s true passion was pampering friends and family, which led to the creation of Aesthetics by Angela. She found genuine happiness in helping others feel cared for and confident, always offering her services generously.
Angie cherished get-togethers with family and friends, where she delighted in bringing people together to enjoy good food, meaningful conversations, fond memories and lots of laughs. A lifelong lover of movies and music, she loved sharing her favorite films and classic songs with those around her. She loved giving thoughtful gifts to others, both on special occasions and “just because.”
Angie’s compassion extended naturally to the animal world, where she was a supporter of local animal rescue. She was also recently a dedicated voice for survivors of cults and coercive control, offering strength, understanding and hope to those seeking healing and freedom.
Those who knew Angie will remember her for her warmth, kindness, her trademark sense of humor and her beautiful smile.
Angie will be missed by her devoted fur-family: her dog Riley, and her cats Mr. B, Allister, Cupcake, and Annie, who were her constant companions and the light of her life.
In honour of Angie’s lifelong commitment to animal welfare, the family kindly requests that, in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Manitoulin Pet Rescue.
Angie will be cremated as per her wishes, and a celebration of life will take place at a later date.
