In Loving Memory of
Adam Lawrence Shawana
August 21, 1948 - June 13, 2025
It is with great sadness that the family of Adam Lawrence Shawana announces his sudden passing.
Adam (aka Chi-Adam) was a devoted husband, father, grandfather/papa, great-grandfather, uncle and friend.
Adam was a happy and giving soul who was happiest when he was able to make others laugh and smile.
He was a jokester, but was serious when it came to his desire to help anyone in need. He opened his home to many who he made his chosen family.
Adam loved to fish and hunt and spent many happy hours on the water or tracking a deer or moose. One of his fondest memories is taking his son out hunting where Tum bagged his first moose.
Adam is survived by his wife Donna Shawana,
daughter Rose Slee (Adam),
grandchildren Patricia Slee, Matthew Slee, Asia Shawana-Manitowabi and Autumn Shawana-Pitawanakwat,
great-grandchildren Legacy and Octavia Manitowabi,
goddaughter Sara Pitawanakwat
and many nieces and nephews.
Adam is predeceased by his beloved son Adam Jr. baa (Tum),
parents Mary Jane (Big bird) and William Shawana,
siblings Robert Shawana (Annie), Shirley Shawana, Margaret Shawana, Violet Shawana, Carol “Hazel” Clark, Arlene Pheasant, Lourda Shawana and Gail Shawana,
