I am a volunteer at the thunder bay soup kitchen and we are desparately searching for information on a patron by the name of "Billy Ray" He passed away and some of us thought he was from Whitesand while others thought he was from Manitoulin so I began to scour the northwest news.We just wanted to honor his memory to the family. He was well liked and always enjoyed a joke or two as he came into visit us to pick up a meal. In the days before covid, Billy Ray would help us with cleanup. He had ongoing jokes about "billy ray cyrus" with some of our volunteers and enjoyed being teased about his name. that is where the confusion came in as I thought his name was Billy Ray Anderson.Please accept our condolences and thoughts and prayers.
