Dear Paul, John, Linda, David, Robert, Family and Friends,
Words seem inadequate to express the sadness we feel about Jo no longer being with us. We are here to support you in your grieving process.  The tide recedes but leaves behind bright seashells on the sand. The sun goes down, but gentle warmth still lingers on the land. The music stops, and yet it echoes on in sweet refrains.....For every joy that passes, something beautiful remains. She will always be in our heart.
We pray the love of God enfolds you during your journey though grief. We send you our love and thoughts of comfort,
Shirin and Bob Grover

Paul, John, Linda, Dave, Rob and families,

We are thinking of you with deepest sympathies. Jo was such a loving and dynamic woman. I have some great memories of her when I was a child teaching me to sculpt in Vancouver. May she find a good place of rest now, free from suffering. Our hearts are with you. Much love, Laura and Michael

Dear Paul & family,

I'm unsure that I can find words to adequately describe what an amazing woman Jo was. I will never forget her kindness towards my mother, Joanne before she passed away in 2006 and her continuing kindness towards my father, Lew.  When Jo entered a room, she lit the place up, not only with her smile but with her positive energy and her ability to include everyone and make them feel special. I am truly sorry for your loss and for the long journey that Jo had to travel in order to find peace. May your memories comfort you.

We will always remember planning for the big Valentines day party at Tiffany Garden.  Jo was always so loving and fun.  Our last night together was full of laugher, joy and wine.  Jo talked me into staying at Bonita and Marks condo instead of washing the kitchen floor.  She kept saying Forget the Floors and have another drink.  I am so glad I listened to her and stayed.  Tiffany Garden will never be the same!

LINDA and all the ATKINSON Family:

Thinking of you, your Dad and all your family at this time knowing so well how your Mum, - Jo - lit such a light on you, lived life fully with grace and elegance.  I well remember the times of experiencing that light and Jo's warm smile & welcomes.

Your Mum will be with you always Linda and you carry her spirit, strength and love in all you do.

Thinking of you.  Love and a hug,  John

To the Atkinson Family... I had the honor and privilege to meet Mrs. Atkinson for only a short time, while bringing her home to be with her family that she quietly and fondly spoke of during the flight... To say that you were blessed to have had a special lady like her in your lives is an understatement... Her journey will continue through each of you as a testament to the life she led and shared. Time will pass but, the memories that you have made together will always be in your hearts... I am glad to have met her and I will never forget her....

Dear Paul and family:

We felt so blessed to have had Jo and you as friends.  Distance doesn't diminish the warm feelings that we have for you.  Jo was such a wonderful, person.  A lady in the true sense of the word with a capital L. She was so well-loved and will be missed profoundly. Our condolences to you all

Dear Paul, cousins and their children. I'm sorry to here of Jo's passing. I know we haven't been in touch as life takes us all on our different journeys. I hope this helps in some small way, when I say that I will always remember Joyce fondly and have many memories of her laughing and having fun at the family functions. The recent past has been hard on Joyce. May she now rest in peace.
Love Clyde and Suzanne

Its been decades since I have been able to spend time with my Aunt Jo.  But her memory has always been alive and strong in me.

Her big smile, huge laugh and geniune warmth are the biggest things that come to mind.

I've been told she fought to the end - and that is true to the spirit I remember.

To Uncle Paul and family, please have faith and complete understanding that Gods plan for us is greater than we can imagine.

Ross, Tanya, Abbi and Piper.  The Manitoba portion of Jo's family

Dear Paul, John, Linda, David, Robert and family

I was so saddened to hear of the passing of Mrs. Atkinson (as she will always be know to me). Truly a great person and so full of life and smiles. I of course can never repay her for saving my life in that hockey game so many year ago. A very brave women stepped out onto the ice that day, when she realized something was wrong, and stepped into action. I will miss her greatly. Lots of great memories of working at Minpro and playing hockey with John. Our thoughts and prayers are with you.

I am so sorry for your loss.  Jo was a beautiful woman on the inside as well as the outside.  I am sorry I wasn't able to be there on the 11th but I understand the day was very moving and very fitting for such a special person. My thoughts are with you all as you come to terms with this loss in your lives.  Hold on to each other for support and know your friends are close by.
