James Everett (Ev) Morphet
January 6, 1933 – June 10, 2011

In loving memory of Ev Morphet who passed away at the Manitoulin Health Centre following a brief illness in his 79th year. Beloved husband and best friend of Beverley (Peck) for 57 years. Loving father of Blair (Ann) Morphet of Sudbury; Cathy (Willis) Hallett of Mindemoya; Kevin (Barb) Morphet of Sault Ste. Marie; John (Helen) Morphet of Victoria. Beloved Grandfather of Nicole (Jeff) Tarr; Travis (Terry) Hallett; Jamie (Amy) Morphet; Benjamin & Scott Morphet; Olivia, Elizabeth and Alastair Morphet; and Great-Grandfather of Spencer Tarr.  

Predeceased by parents, Alfred and Doris Morphet.  Brother of Ross (Eleanor) Morphet of Little Current and Lloyd (Diane) of Waterloo. Brother in-law of Phyllis Marshall; Evelyn Loosemore; Iliff (Jane) Peck; and Warren (Gail) Peck. Uncle of many nieces and nephews.

Following a life long career with CP Rail, Ev and Bev retired to Little Current. Ev continued his involvement as a Life Member of the Masonic Lodge and was an active Life Member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #177. Visitation Friday June 17th , 7-9 pm at  Island Funeral Home. Funeral Services  Saturday June 18th, 2011 at 10:00 am at  Little Current United Church. Interment  at Elmview Cemetery, Sheguiandah.

If so desired, donations to the Little Current United Church, Manitoulin Health Centre Hospital Auxiliary or the Mindemoya Chemo Project  would be appreciated by the family.
