Alex lived a simple life. He was a quiet gentle man and really enjoyed being at home watching his hockey games. When the regular hockey season was over and the playoffs were all done Alex liked listening to his music. He loved spending time with his friends in Thunder Bay and enjoyed being outdoors. Alex was good at cracking jokes and could easily make you laugh. He missed his home in M'Chigeeng and always wanted to go back to it.

Hello - I am hoping i have the correct family. I am a volunteer at the thunder bay soup kitchen and we are desparately searching for information on a patron by the name of "Billy Ray" He passed away and some of us thought he was from Whitesand while others thought he was from Manitoulin so I began to scour the northwest news.We just wanted to honor his memory to the family. He was well liked and always enjoyed a joke or two as he came into visit us to pick up a meal. In the days before covid, Billy Ray would help us with cleanup. He had ongoing jokes about "billy ray cyrus" with some of our volunteers and enjoyed being teased about his name. that is where the confusion came in as I thought his name was Billy Ray Anderson. Please accept our condolences and thoughts and prayers. This is on behalf of the Dew Drop Soup Kitchen in Thunder bay. Gchii Miigwetch
