Toots had now joined the love of her life Murray. Sadly with Covid 19 I haven't seen cousin Toots since March. Oh, how we danced on Thursday's. I believe she and Gail will be dancing as long as there is music. To Jamie and Sally my sincere condolences. May she rest in peace.

Our sincere condolences to Jamie and all in the family. We loved to visit with Toots when we would be at the manor to visit with Terry's folks. We loved to shop at the Home Hardware in Providence Bay chatting with Toots and having her help us get what we needed. She was always friendly and cheerful and had a very happy disposition in life. We will miss her dearly, another precious loss for our island community. May she rest in peace.

Sincere sympathy to her family. What a special lady she was. So many fond memories of Toots even from when I was a kid. She was a neighbour and a great friend to my Grandma Katie Lewis who lived across the street from the United Church in Providence Bay. Always so friendly.

Sorry to hear of her passing. She was a wonderful woman who enjoyed life. Because of Covid I hadn't seen her in six months. She was always fun at Red Hats and I enjoyed our drives together. I loved watching her dance and even remember her skating many years ago.

My sincere condolences to Toot’s family...I just met Toots in January when my Dad Wally Van Horn moved into the room next to her at the Manor. We spent some great time together as I was there a lot until I went back to Thunder Bay in February. Toots would put her arm around my waist and walk and talk in her own way. We had short visits in Dads room as she was always on the go, and she showed me her room. Dad told me that a lady would come in a kiss his forehead good night ....I’m sure this was Toots ....one day when she had had her hair done and had a nice outfit on I told her “ Toots you look lovely!” She responded by straightening the collar of my plaid flannel shirt and said “ This is lovely too dear”. Such a sweet lady ❤️

Toots was always welcoming and willing to share and listen.
I do have a memory of her teaching skating in the Providence Bay Arena. A very small lady wrapped in a White Hudson Bay coat with the red, yellow, black, and green stripes, In boots she would walk the routine we were to learn and in skates we followed.
Everything I remember about Providence Bay seems to be associated with Toots. She truly gave to her community.
