My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family at this time. No matter how long and wonderful a life your Mom led you are never ready to lose a parent! It sounds like the community has lost a leading light as well.

We will certainly miss our wonderful friend and neighbour, Marge! We were among the lucky recipients of her peanut butter balls and butter tarts, and I even scored the recipe for the peanut butter treats! Despite some physical setbacks, Marge was a trouper, and was still squeezing a lot out of life!
She proudly informed us of any new great-grandchildren, and of the many successes and accomplishments of other dearly-loved family members. She was a real matriarch to her family, and a very kind and generous neighbour and friend to many.
We’re sending our love and condolences to all the Wilkin family at this sad time...❤️

Our sincere sympathy to all the Wilkin Family. May the many memories you have of this unique lady help you now and in the days ahead. Have many memories of times shared with Marj. Her nightly phone calls will be missed. Last evening at around 7 the phone rang (her usual time to call) and when I answered I expected it to be her with her "Hello Linda" what's new or what are you busy at". If I wasn't home, she always had a good visit with hubby. She certainly will be missed.

To the Wilkin family, our sincere condolences on the loss of your mother and grandmother. We have lots of fun memories of her at your many family get-togethers and visits with Mike’s parents over the years. Marj will be missed by all and her signature tarts and peanut butterballs that she would bring in to the manor for Mike’s mother, Freda, were a familiar treat which our whole family often enjoyed as well, during our visits there! Mike always enjoyed talking and joking with her whenever we got together. Our thoughts are with you at this time of loss. Mike and Marilyn Farquhar

To the entire Wilkin Clan:

Hello to all of you. KT texted me while I was away Tuesday to give me the sad news. I'm very sorry I missed The Mighty Marj's visitation as I only arrived back in Little Current on Wed. afternoon.
Smooth Riders of the world have lost their leader.

You all know that you're mom/grama tuned in to the station daily but I just wanted you all to know that I have long considered Marj to be The QUEEN of the SMOOTH RIDERS. I know she listened whenever she could, called in regularly to say hello after I'd been away, request a song or to make sure I didn't forget one of her family members (especially the grand children!) when they were celebrating a birthdays! And of course, she loved to try to answer the daily questions that I asked over the airwaves. She even laughed and admitted she'd cheated with answers now and then!

So, I just wanted to thanks all of you for looking after her so well in her final years. She always seemed happy and 'full of beans' and it was only during a call with her early last week that I thought she sounded a little weak. I hope that she went peacefully.

My thoughts are with all of you. Take care of yourselves.

Big MIke

p.s. I will be broadcasting a little Smooth Ride tribute to Marj. today(Thurs.), after the intro to my show at about 4:15 pm.

So very sorry your Mom had to go. It was a lovely service yesterday and the Grandchildren all did fantastic with the eulogy (it was really lovely Courtney) and the slide show of pictures was precious. We will miss her, too. Hugs to all. Xo
