Passed away peacefully early Friday morning, January 26,  2018 with her daughter by her side at the Wikwemikong Nursing Home, Wiikwemikoong, Ontario.

Beloved mother of Elizabeth Anne Ritchie (Chester) and Michael Jamieson. Devoted grandmother to Megan, Nicholas and Monika.

Daughter of Mary and Louis Trudeau of Wiikwemikoong (both predeceased). Sister of Anne, Jeff, Clem, Agnes, Julie, Frank, Phillip, Bertha (all predeceased) and Marjorie Trudeau.

Resting at St. Ignatius Church, Buzwah Saturday, January 27, 2018 1:00 pm  until the Funeral Mass at Holy Cross Mission, January 29, 2018 11:00 am. Burial at the Wikwemikong Upper Cemetery

Elsie graduated from the Haileybury School for Nursing. She worked at the Sudbury Hospital as a R.N.A. She moved to Toronto and worked at the Scarborough General Hospital.

She met her husband Claude Jamieson (predeceased). They married and had two children. She moved to Prince Edward Island for a few years where her husband's family lived.  In 1985 moved back to Elliot Lake, Ontario

She volunteered for 12 years at Our Lady of Fatima School where she was known to all as "The Hot Dog Lady".

She was a member of the Catholic Women's League at Our Lady of Fatima Parish in Elliot Lake Ontario.

Elsie loved to play bingo and scratch tickets. She enjoyed knitting and crocheting, sketching, playing cards and chinese checkers. In her younger years she was an avid bowler.
She will be fondly remembered for her smile and
big heart. She always a kind word to say to everyone.

my condolence to you Marjorie n family, Elsie was one of my class mates in Spanish school ...sending prayers and will light a candle for her in church for her tomorrow.

Want to offer me sincerest condolences on Elsie’s passing. Elsie was a sweet, kind and gentle person. I very much enjoyed the times Elsie and I spent together over the years.
