Virginia King

Was born to Dan and Margaret Pitawanakwat on June 26, 1934 in South Bay.
From our hearts with great sadness, we announce the peaceful passing of our mother, with family by her side on Monday October 23, 2017.
Virginia and Cecil, had five children: Denise predeceased 2002, Daryl (Gladys) of Buzwah, Anna-Leah of Regina, Alanis (friend Bitsy) of Ottawa, and Shoo-Shoo (Troy) of Tyendinaga Mohawk Territory; seven grandchildren: Candace, Feather (Greg), Cheyenne, Tanis, Dylan, B’Elanna and Blake; and four great grandchildren: Phoenix, Winter, Declan and Hudson.

Predeceased by her parents, Dan and Margaret Pitawanakwat, and siblings Phyllis, Ron, Clarence, and Stanley.
Survived by her brothers Raymond, Victor and Morris and her sisters, Joyce and Sheila.
Our Mom cared deeply for many nieces and nephews and together, share fond warm memories.
Virginia was a career federal public servant in Ottawa.  She felt strongly about giving back to community and generously gave her time by volunteering for various community organizations.  Virginia enjoyed being a hockey mom and even more so a hockey grandma who rarely missed a puck drop!  Virginia was dedicated to her faith, from which she drew strength throughout her life.

Virginia was such a wonderful human being with my memory of her and the King family reaching back to 1967. We all grew closer given we shared time and space in Ottawa at each others homes in days gone by. I would like to express condolences from the Vic and Billie Pelletier Family to the Kings. God Bless you all.
