My thoughts and prayers are with you. Jeanette was such a special and interesting lady. She was such a treasure trove of information and I loved the talks about Manitoulin history, and genealogy. The museum was her home away from home and she added so much value to the many records and artifacts stored there. I will miss her very much and I'm sure that her passing will leave such a big hole in your family. May the many memories and tributes bring you some comfort.

Jeanette's Mum Vera and my Mum Jean were first cousins and we lived around the corner from each other years ago. I have known her all my life, I am so sad to hear she is gone. Jeanette's spirit was so big, her enthusiasm for life, her loves, her ups and downs all big, I loved her energy. What a void. My sympathy to you all.

We are very sorry to hear of Jeanette's death and our thoughts and prayers are with you at this time. She will always be remembered for her interest in and dedication to her family and community. She was such a wealth of local information that she loved to share with others. What great times we had working together over the years. We think of all the "behind the scenes" work that she did with the Assiginack Historical Society and the Museum and the legacy that she helped create. She was special. She was one of a kind. She was always her own person. She deserves a full chapter in the next "book". Rest in peace Jeanette and know your memory will live on in the community you loved.

To: The Allen Family,

Please accept my heartfelt condolences on the passing of Jeannette. She was a strong willed lady with opinions of her own, and she wasn't afraid to express them. She spent many of times discussing my position on Council and Schooners. I valued her opinion, and if I didn't agree, she would explain to me why I should. She was an amazing lady who will be greatly missed. Angelo and I will remember her fondly.
