Started her spirit journey on Wednesday morning November 23, 2016 at the age of 84.

Predeceased by parents John B Manitowabi and Mary Louise (nee Trudeau)
Mother of Linda Manitowabi
Grandmother of Wabenokwe, Zheebak (Sandra) & K'Chitwa Cada
Great grandmother of Makohns, Oha, Trinity, Kyra and Chase
Survived by siblings Theresa Bisson,
Peter Manitowabi (Bessie) and Edna Manitowabi
predeceased by siblings Daniel Manitowabi,
Albert Manitowabi, Margaret George, Alex Manitowabi,
Victoria Mishibinijima and Charles Manitowabi.
Remembered by many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, cousins and friends.

Graduated from Drug and Alcohol Addiction Program at Northern College, Timmins, ON.
Received Honorary Doctorate from Laurentian University Doctor of Laws
Correction Service of Canada, received Certificate of Appreciation In Recognition of her contribution to development of the Healing Lodge for Federally Sentenced Aboriginal Women.

Family and friends will gather at Rabbit Island Centre from 4pm Thursday

My Condolences to you and all your family...I wil allways remember her smile and jokes..And I never forgot the fried green tomatoes for Breakfast......She was such a wonderful person...I just wish I could have had the chance to see her again after moving to the USA...sending you all my love and prayers and hugs....

I only knew Auntie Liza for a short period of time in my youth, but she impacted my life in a good way and I wish her a good journey to the campfires of our ancestors.

Thank you Auntie Liza for your patience, understanding and guidance through a very difficult time in my life. I will always remember your love and spirit. In the physical world I will miss your presence but am relieved that you are free of pain. I hope your journey continues to be a safe one. My sincere condolences to your family and friends.
