Mr. "Bid" (Orvil Francis) Smith  
A resident of Little Current.
Died peacefully at Manitoulin Health Centre, on Monday, May 16th, 2016 at the age of 100.
Born to Mary Clark and Thomas Smith, in Little Current, on October 15th, 1915.
Predeceased by wife Catherine.
Loving father of daughter Bev (James L. Stevens predeceased).
Proud grandfather of
Lyn (Marc Seed),
Mark (predeceased),
Lisa (Rick Rose),
Laurie (Dave Piche).
Will be missed by many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Predeceased by all his siblings,
Austin (Nola),
Arnold (Irene),
Clarence (Marion),
and Elmer (Norine).
Bid will always be remembered by many nieces, nephews, friends and beloved pets.

Cremation with interment in the Smith vault, Mountainview Cemetery.  There will be no service.  
Donations to Pet Save Manitoulin would be appreciated.

Dear Bev & Family. Our sincere sympathy to all in the passing of your dear father, grandfather Bid.We were neighbors for years and shared a lot of good times and memories. Always was a welcoming presence in the A.J. Smith Store. He did make to his 100th. Birthday something he always told me he wanted to do. Rest in peace Bid.

Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your families at this time. I can always remember when we were kids that he teased us about eating seagull eggs. He was so convincing however, I am not sure if we believed him but he would sure make it sound convincing.

You could always expect him to tease you about something every time you went into the Smith' Hardware Store.

Dear Bev and family,
Please accept our sincere sympathy in your Dad's passing. We remember him fondly and were glad to visit him on his 100th birthday. What a milestone he reached! May he rest in peace.

Dear Beverley and family,

I am saddened to learn of you dad's passing. I remember how all of my Granddad Austin's brothers loved to joke and tell stories. I hope you take comfort in many happy memories and that he lived a good long life.
