Wayne fought a long battle. He was very courageous in his struggle and always appreciated the love and devotion of his family. The hunters always enjoyed their time with him and had great respect for him and his views. Lots of good memories there. He will be missed every day,but especially when hunting season rolls around.

My sincere sympathy to you, Dawn and to you , Lindsay. Wayne stands out as an exemplary member of the MHC Auxiliary. He worked hard, was a go-getter and to top it all off---he accomplished. For generations to come, his work in setting up the Free TV at the Manitoulin Health Centre will continue--a lasting legacy.

On behalf of all of us at MHC, please accept our heartfelt condolences in your time of loss. Wayne was a lovely man, who worked so hard on behalf of the hospital - as both a member of the Auxiliary and as a Board member. He was a true believer in the power of volunteering and was practically tireless in his efforts.
In tribute, we will be flying the MHC flag/banner at half mast.

Dear Dawn and Lindsay, my thoughts, heart, and tears are with you at this sad time of loss. I will miss Wayne very much, and as Bill said to my mother Helen Orr "now who will take Mary to Buttermilk Falls?" He was so kind, generous, and non-judgmental. In my summers on the Island, Wayne was a wise, silently observing, "older brother" to me. In the winter, we'd warm up by the big wood stove--remember that impressive woodpile? In summer, that stove was hot, but worth it for what Clara made for us. Cathy and I spent time at the old house, too, where Wayne became part of the fabric of my Manitoulin memories. Thank you, cousin Wayne, for looking after the family history for us. My condolences to dear Eunice (and Humphrey), Bill (and Ella), Maysie (and Lyman), Cathy (and Art).
