In Loving Memory of
Millicent “Millie” Desmoulin
November 30, 1956 - January 28, 2015

Who passed away peacefully on Wednesday,
at the Manitoulin Health Center.

Millie leaves behind
her special and long time friend John “Johnee” Beaudry,
loving daughter Melissa (husband Brian),
her mother Charlotte,
her sister Jane,
her grandchildren Faith, Breanne, Hope, Alex, Meredith.
and her niece Gabrielle.
Special mother to Karen Francis.
Beloved mother to the late Natashia Desmoulin
and special daughter to the late Adelaine Desmoulin.
Cherished sister to Jeanette Eshkawkogan (husband Ivan), Archie Desmoulin, daughter in law to Charlotte Beaudry and sister in law to Doreen Trudeau, Bernadette, Marjorie, Roseanne, Stanley, Sarah and Stewart Beaudry.
Special friend to Eleanor Abel, Cindy Ominika, Marjorie Trudeau, and Elsie Jamieson.
Also survived by her Francis, Peltier, Trudeau, and Manitowabi families.
Sadly missed by many nieces, nephews, godchildren, and friends.

She will  be greatly missed by her ministry family and her quilting friends at Amikook. She will also be missed by her pets “Mkoos”, “Nongos”, and “Kwejim”.
Millie was well known in her community and other First Nation communities for her palliative care. She enjoyed playing Bingo, scratch tickets, Keno, and going to the Casino. She loved making crafts and sharing her knowledge of teaching crafts to community organizations. She was the founder of Sunday School at Holy Cross. She strongly continued to be active with prayer groups at Holy Cross. Speaking and saying prayers in the Anishinaabemowin language was a great asset to her and in her community.

This is the day, that the Lord has made
I will rejoice and be glad in it.

Visitation
from 2p.m. Friday at the St. Ignatius Church, Buzwah.
Funeral Service
will be conducted at Holy Cross Mission
11:00 a.m on Monday, February 2, 2015.
Burial to follow at the Wikwemikong Cemetery.

My condolences to everyone ... Millie was a wonderful woman with huge heart n shared her knowledge with love n peace .... She was a great asset in our community ... She will continue her prayers n singing in our language with our spiritual family in the spirit world .. land of peace, love n faith ... I will says my prayers and thinking of the family ..may our creator guide you all ..with love n understanding about our cycle of life ... give you the strength to continue what our Friend, Mother, Auntie N Sister wanted us to do ... no words can express how I feel Millie was a very beautiful and wonderful person. She has taught me a lot, going to miss our visit. Was just thinking of our last conversation we had together and yes you are truly going to be missed. Until we meet again my friend.

Millie was such a caring person in our community, she was always there for families in time of need, support and with her prayers...I remember her always being by my moms side during her illness in the hospital, she always visited with my mom, she was there when my mom passed away, and I will always remember that...she will be greatly missed...my prayers go out to her daughter Melissa, and her grandchildren...and the rest of the family...deepest sympathy...

My sincere condolences to her family and friends whom life's she had touched. Millie was a very special lady, being there for our family when our parents made their spirit journey, her kind words and support helped get us through...just a few days ago we met again, we hugged and she said "I love you" and I too loved her, Miigwetch Millie for being a blessing in our life's...

Im so sorry for the loss of your mother , May precious memories fill your hearts and ease your pain. She always had a big smile on her face every time i saw her. She would always cheer me up and make me laugh when I saw her, Your mother was a wonderful and kind lady and has brought sorrow to a lot of lives she touch.

Millie truely will be missed by many! She is now with her maker and family and friends who have gone on before her. She was an Angel on earth and is now one in Heaven. R.I.P. Millie!! And condolences to Johnee, Melissa and family. Thoughts and Prayers going out to you all.
