Marie Marguerite Jackson  

"Margaret Mary"
A longtime resident of Manitowaning.

Margaret's last days where at the Wikwemikong Nursing Home.  She died peacefully at Manitoulin Health Centre,
on March 22nd, 2014 at the age of 92 .

Born to Sophie and Michael Manitowabi, at Sucker Lake Reserve, Manitowaning on January 15th, 1922.
Beloved wife of Robert John Jackson (predeceased 1991)
Predeceased by daughers Lorraine and Linda,
sons Clifford and Kenneth.
Survived by children Phyllis Cooco, Raymond,
John (Mariel), Shirley, and Don.
Predeceased by grandchildren Andrea and Tom.
Survived by grandchildren Michelle, Amanda, Karsten, Kenneth
Richie (Charmaine), Darlene,
Christopher, Tina,
David and Colleen,
Proud great grandmother of 17 grandchildren, one predeceased.
Predeceased by brothers  Michael "Sonny",  Alphonse and Vincent.
sisters Joyce, Cecilia, Rita, and Lucy.
Survived by her dear sister of Betty Crack (husband Mervyn).
Loved Godmother of Shirley Recollet and Mark Lewis.

Margaret had two other loves; The Toronto Maple Leafs
and the Toronto Blue Jays.

Family and friends will gather at from 1pm on Tuesday and on Wednesday at  St. Ignatius Church, Buzwah.  

Funeral Mass
at 1:30 pm Thursday March 27th, 2014
at  St. Ignatius Church, Buzwah.    
Burial will be at the Wikwemikong Upper Cemetery.
Donations in Margaret's memory to the St. Ignatius Church would be greatly appreciated.

I was so sorry to hear of Mom Jackson's passing -- she was lovely lady and all of us Gilbert sisters enjoyed the time we spent with her -- to all her family our deepest sympathies. I take great comfort in knowing she is now with Linda ( who we miss with all our hearts !)

John and Family. I have not seen you in a long time but remember that your Mom was a real sweetheart. My own Mom use to socialize with her and the other ladies at the Amikook Centre. Please accept my deepest condolences.

We are sorry for your loss. Mom/Grandma J. was such a great person. It is an honour to know such a wonderful woman who lived a long life with many people who loves her. She was an inspiration and she will be in our hearts forever. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and the family.

John,Don,Raymond, Phylis and Shirley, Sincere Sympathy to all of you and your families in the passing of your Mother. We lived beside Margaret for many years and she was a great neighbour. She also was a great asset to Manitowaning, she contributed her time and talent to several communuty groups. Sorry that we can't be there. It has now passed by over 2 years Mom.
I think and miss you daily.

I prayed to you this morning Mom on which today you would of turned 95.
May you rest in peace. I have learned so much from you, you were an excellent teacher and parent.
With,all my love I miss you so very much and I deeply am grateful for the life you gave me.

She sure did love the Blue Jay i rember going to a game with her my mom an grandmother eish i was around her more RIP
