Linda, Maureen, Lynne and Michelle,

I'm so very sorry to hear of this tragic news. It was many years ago, but you all welcomed us to your family when my brother Don and I worked for Jerry during haying season at the farm. I'm guessing, but ~1985/1986 sounds about right? Jerry was an excellent boss and mentor. Not only did he teach some city kids how to work hard (and enjoy hay fever apparently :), but he was always kind, thoughtful and just a tonne of fun. Great guitar player too! Jerry is and was among the very best of us. I sincerely regret I won't have a chance to tell him this personally.

Linda and family,
Marlene and I are deeply saddened to hear of Jerry''s accident and subseqent passing today. We send our sincere condolences to you and your family. When we joined ''our jamboree buddies'' at Lion''s Head, we always looked forward to Jerry''s entertaining sense of humour, especially at breakfast. Our attention was drawn to the way he would genuinely enjoy every moment dancing the night away. We will miss him! Our thoughts and prayers are with you, Linda!

So sorry to read of Jerry''s passing. May you find strength today and peace in the days to come. Will be thinking of you and yours.

Maureen, Lynn & Michelle:
Not so long ago I had to say good-bye to my Dad. You may feel more than a little empty right know, but we heal. One day you will be doing some random little thing and a smile will creep across your face as you remember some silly thing he did or said.

I think everyone who knew him as a kind, quiet and generous man will hold a place in thier memories for him always.

I did meet you both once at my brother's home (Ron and Mikaleena Breadner) but I feel I know Jerry with only speaking to him less than a week ago. Ron and Mikaleena speak so highly of him and his family I know he will be missed and leaves behind much love and affection. My heart is with you today and tomorrow as you deal with your grief and the loss of a father and husband. The sadness will seem overwhelming at times but may it be soothed by the fond memories of Jerry's life and the fun you all had together. He is only a moment's thought away and will live forever in your hearts. Blessings, Cindy Breadner

My most sincere condolences. Jerry was a great guy. I never went over and simply delivered my usual decrepit piece of farm equipment. It was always a social event and a joy to engage in conversation with him and his wry sense of humour.

All the best to you in your time of grief.
