Death of a community member such as the stature of Herman never comes easy to the family and the community at large shares in their grief.

He is, and in memory will always be the musical thread that makes up the very fibre of all communities he shared his talent with, and there were many.
Herman had a love for all people and liftted everyone who was fortunate enough to hear and know him.

On behalf of our family, we extend deepest of sympathies to the family and the community at large for the loss of a legend.

Herman was a wonderful man. He had been a great part of my grandparents musical life on Manitouliln, even playing at my Grama's funeral. My son recently interviewed Herman for a school project that profiled musicians on the Island, one of them being Herman. Herman was very kind person who will be missed by many.

Please accept deepest condolences from the Jacko family in Wikwemikong, on behalf of our parents, Alex and Blanche ( nee Manitowabi) Jacko. Our mom used to have very fond memories of her cousin Herman when he was a child, learning how to play the piano. R.I.P. Herman

It's with sadness that I bid Adieu to Herman, a fellow businessman, musician and piano tuner. My sincerest sympathies to Mrs Peltier and family.
