Dave graduated from Humber College in Toronto with a degree in Broadcasting, and got his first broadcasting job with CHNO Radio in Sudbury where he worked for 19 years.  He was inducted into sport hall fame in Sudbury for his amazing broadcasting ability.

He was a naturalist; he  wouldn’t even kill a spider, he caught problem bats, releasing them again.
Dave loved the outdoors, from cutting the grass to walking in the woods, very much aware and in tune with his surroundings, he knew all the bugs, wildlife, plants and trees around him, all were special and personal to him.  He was methodical in his observation of nature, and was always eager for
new sightings. (ie. the elusive courage on the island)
He was a very talented golfer, enjoying all sports, he played and watched hockey, he was a natural broadcaster, continuing to verbally participate.

Not everyone knew or seen the sensitive side of Dave, but all could see that he was  trustworthy,
and took pride in what he did.

From the time he was a child, Dave just wanted to
be outside;  in the rain, sunshine or snow.

Donations to MHC Aux. Or Heart & Stroke would be appreciated.

Purolator Dave...your truck and your hair always gave you away when you were approaching my car on the highway, and yet, you would always
wave first! Our paths did not cross often, but when they did, the rest of my day was brighter. See you later, and my sympathy to your family.
