Lorna was born in Providence Bay and spent most of her life on Manitoulin Island. While growing up she enjoyed many outdoor activities such as skating, swimming, picking berries and eating sweets. She married her husband Ron and started her family in Little Current. She was a faithful Christian who enjoyed going to her church and singing hymns. She loved being around her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was often scolded by the parents of the children for giving them large amounts of candy, chocolate and ice cream which she also enjoyed. Lorna enjoyed ice cream to the point that she often had a sore belly from over indulgence. Lorna also enjoyed playing cards, cribbage and Chinese checkers with anyone who would challenge her. She may even have cheated from time to time! She was also known as an excellent driver who could handle a car in almost any ditch. After moving into the Little Current manor, she enjoyed knitting, more card playing and putting puzzles together. Almost everyone who had any contact with Lorna was given a puzzle glued together. Lorna’s favorite activity at the manor was watching and listening to the live music shows. She will be missed by all who knew her.
